Tiny Tim Updates

Tiny Tim is a great example of the animals we see every day at Ahimsa House.

At the beginning of his life, things were bad for him. The father in the family allegedly abused him so much that his leg was broken as a result. With permission from the mother, another victim in the household, we went to the media in an effort to save his leg. The result was overwhelming! We had hundreds of phone calls that jammed our phone line. Our voice mail filled up and we had to start forwarding calls to another line just so we could check the voice mail! This was a continuous cycle for several hours, but it made our year to talk to so many of you who cared about this poor little dog in need.

In total, Ahimsa House was on 4 local Atlanta TV stations. Jennifer Leslie of 11 Alive did a wonderful and very thorough job. 11 Alive showed Tiny Tim’s story several times and Jennifer Leslie did two follow-up stories on his progress. The local PBS station also did a wonderful job. You can still see the archived footage here: http://www.gpb.org/public/tv/georgiaweek/

We at Ahimsa House cannot show you all of the abused animals we take in every day, but Tiny Tim was a great example of the many animals we see. Some have broken bones, some have broken hearts, but we do everything we can for them. When you donate to Ahimsa House, you help animals just like Tiny Tim, and you show them that there are good people who love them. Won’t you show them you love them today? Thank you for caring and for donating.
